Speaker 1:

I'm so excited because I am a true animal lover and I have a cool pet. I wish you could see him. His name is Hulk. He's a wiener dog, little wiener dog with a big name and attitude, but I would love if he could talk. He looks at me and loves me so much he stares at my eyes and just. He is so in love and infatuated with me and I love him right back. Talk to us, andy. Tell us what is something interesting about yourself and let our audience know who you are okay, lots of things to talk about.

Speaker 2:

But yes, I love your story about your dog with the eye contact, because until we can communicate telepathically with them, which is how they talk to each other, they have to rely on their eye language or their body language or vocalizations or behavior changes to communicate with us.

Speaker 2:

Your listeners may not be aware, but animals do understand everything that we say.

Speaker 2:

I actually mentor animal parents so they can learn to talk to their own animals living and in spirit, and it's incredible that they have such extensive vocabularies and sometimes they use words I've never heard of before and it just is amazing.

Speaker 2:

But what I've discovered is that some of these animals are souls who have had lifetimes before and so if they lived several hundred years ago, they're familiar with the words they heard and used several hundred years ago and that's what they use in conversation. So I never know what they're going to tell me and every conversation is a revelation and they let their personalities come through with what they say, like I can hear their voices and I can tell when they're smiling, and some of them tell me hilarious stories and make me laugh. So I just know now to expect the unexpected. But it's totally changed my understanding of reality, knowing that we can have profound conversations with our animals. They understand what our life purpose is, they understand what our soul lessons are, and some of them are here with us to help us with that. So I love unraveling the connections about why your animal is with you and have you had past life connections and how are they helping you behind the scenes.

Speaker 1:

So when I, a few years back, I was going through something pretty traumatic and I always said, you know, when we got Hulk, that he soothed my soul, like he helped me get through one of my difficult times. And you know, most recently my father passed away and he has been so kind, that little dog, to be there when I needed him the most.

Speaker 1:

And my husband and I love him so much. And my mom she's here with us now since my dad passed and he is literally. I don't think if we didn't have a dog, I don't know if she would have any time that she feels a little bit better. I know it's really difficult for her, but the piece and I've had cats and dogs. I love animals. I have never had children, so these are my children, you know. So when I I love him, he snuggles and he's the greatest little guy. But he can be mean too. But I would love to know what he's thinking though.

Speaker 2:

That would be really cool. So tell me, how did you get started? What made you start doing this? What did you do before this as well? Okay, so before this I actually had worked in health and in administration and in research, so very big change to swap to being a full-time animal communicator and animal medium. But I learned along the way that it's my path, it's my life mission and it's what I'm meant to be doing. So I actually started over 12 years ago now.

Speaker 2:

I had a little ginger girl cat and apparently 97% of ginger cats are boys, so it was quite unusual to get a ginger girl. She was very special and sadly she passed away after a short illness and it made me feel as though I'd missed the opportunity to get to know her on a deeper level and I'd felt that my cats could understand what I was saying and I wish that I could understand what they wanted to tell me. So, similar to you, and I actually used to say to them I wish I could speak cat, so I had to rely on the vocalizations and the body language to communicate with them. But after my cat died, I searched for an animal communication course and I found one online and there was an image of a ginger cat on the front of the website that looked exactly like my cat and I thought, wow, there's a sign from the universe that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. So I started and I've spoken to her since several times in spirit and said how I felt that I'd missed that opportunity with her. She's got no grudges at all. It was her purpose to guide me to doing this, because she knew it was my purpose. So she's appeared in meditations and dreams and I've been able to physically pick her up and feel her, which is just so comforting.

Speaker 2:

And I'd love your listeners to be aware that our animals in spirit, although their physical presence is no longer with us, on an energetic level, their soul continues. So we can always connect with them telepathically and after they've gone through a healing process they can come back and visit us energetically. So I've had people tell me they've seen their animal running up and down the corridor. Now, to me, with a logical brain, that makes no sense because they don't own a physical body anymore, but somehow they put on a temporary physical body and they haven't told me how they do that yet, but we can see them or we can hear them vocalizing, which I've personally experienced, or we can feel their touch, which I've also experienced. So it's lovely that they can come back and comfort us. So my first two cats when I started my course became my very patient teachers. I had no idea what I was doing, but they taught me so much and they continue to teach me now from the other side.

Speaker 2:

And, as I said, it's interesting because they all have different voices, just like humans, and you actually hear the voices in your head. It's not audible in your ear. So when you first start it's very strange hearing voices in your head and you feel as though you're going crazy. But you just get used to hearing the different tones.

Speaker 2:

And I spoke to a dog yesterday and said that her human wanted me to ask some questions of her and was it okay to have a conversation? I have to ask the consent because it's a free will situation. And she said, oh, get out of here. Oh, how cute. So she was really excited. But just the attitude that was coming through with, how she responded, was just lovely. So some animals are a bit surprised by having a human talking to them telepathically, because not everybody does that. And I love going to zoos, because a lot of people don't talk to the animals at zoos, so I can find out what's going on and then I can pass on messages to their keepers, who fortunately are very receptive to getting messages. So it's just been a learning curve.

Speaker 1:

This is unique. I've never met anyone in my life that does what you do. So when you talk about what you do to other people, what kind of reaction do you get?

Speaker 2:

Exactly the same as what you just said. It's very common. I've never met anyone like you or the other common one is but you look so normal.

Speaker 1:

You do look normal.

Speaker 2:

But it is really interesting in networking meetings when people say what do you do? And so I describe myself as the animal-human relationship enricher, because that's what I love doing is deepening the relationships between animals and humans. And once you have one conversation with an animal, that changes your relationship. They so appreciate the fact that you've asked for a conversation. They will become more affectionate, They'll look at you more intently. It just changes the dynamics of what's happening and you can find out so much more about them. That really does enrich your relationship.

Speaker 2:

So I connect animals and humans through telepathic conversation. So for animal parents with living animals, I can find out what's happening with their animals. So common questions are to do with behaviour changes, and our animals are so smart. They've worked out that if they change behaviour that we will notice and they're trying to tell us that something's wrong. Or they're trying to get us attention, or they may make different vocalisation, noises, or people may be concerned about health issues and want to know what's going on. Animals have really good medical knowledge and so they can explain what's happening to me. Or if it's a bereaved animal parent, I can connect with the soul of their animal in spirit and answer their unanswered questions. So if the human wasn't there when their animal passed away or they don't have a diagnosis as to why their animal passed away, I can ask those questions. I don't like asking who they're with on the other side, because I've now discovered through experience that they actually make new friends on the other side, human and animal. So if I get asked that question they can go into great detail about who they're spending time with, but the human has no idea who I'm talking about and you can feel the kind of disappointment that they don't recognise what they're saying.

Speaker 2:

The most amazing thing they've taught me is about soul reincarnation and I had no idea this happened until one of my cats let me experience it and she wasn't very old and she didn't have any health issues and she just suddenly passed away and it was a huge shock, but at least I knew I was in the unique position that I'd be able to talk with her on the other side when she was ready to talk with me. And so when she was ready to talk, I just said to her what did you do that for? And she said, oh, I needed a new body. In a tone like that and I'm thinking what? And then she told me to stop being so sentimental and that she was coming back. That was just totally unexpected. I really didn't know what to think about that, but she'd been so accurate with everything she'd been teaching me I just had to believe her, and a lot of people thought it was a weird grief coping technique, imagining that your animal was going to come back. But she told me what she was going to look like and she came back. I now know that she did that so that I would experience it firsthand and understand the kind of euphoria and bliss and surrealness of having your animal back, because so many people say can you just tell them how much I'd give to hug them one more time and then they come back and you have another lifetime with them. It's just incredible.

Speaker 2:

So a big part of my work now is working with bereaved animal parents and finding out if it's their animal's destiny to come back. Not all of them do, but a lot do and if they've found a body for their soul to swap into, then they can give me the details and then they can tell me what species they're going to be. Normally they do come back as the same species. It's been very educational for me learning a lot about dog breeds in particular that I've never heard of before. The gender, and sometimes they do have to change gender to come back, and sometimes they're not exactly thrilled about coming back as not the same gender, but because that's the body that's available soonest for them to come back to their humans. They accept that they do want new names, and so often they've already selected what name they want to be called and they can tell me that, and then they can share details. If they know where their humans are going to find them, they can tell me.

Speaker 2:

So I had a cat in the UK who named the specific rescue agency where his mum was going to find him, and she did so. To me. That's one of the most powerful things I've learned to be able to help people because animal grief is such an incredibly challenging time. Because animal grief is such an incredibly challenging time, knowing that the soul continues and that we can always connect with them and that there is a chance that they will come back can bring so much hope and so much peace of mind, and so I just love letting people know that they can still connect with their animal. Yes, their physical body's no longer here, but we can connect with them in spirit. So there really is no true separation and that huge love that we've experienced in our relationship with them continues.

Speaker 1:

It's very interesting for me, and one thing about our show is that we talk about adversity and how you push through to the other side. Being in an industry like this, where it's not common right, there's not a lot of people that do this. What kind of adversity have you faced and pushed through into the other side of it?

Speaker 2:

That's a great question and it really has been a challenge, because a lot of people don't know about animal communication or animal mediumship. And it does sound really weird when you tell someone that you talk to animals that are not living and so, yes, there are a lot of skeptics and people say you know, how do you know that you're actually connected with that animal, particularly if they've passed over. And I've had experiences now where the animals in spirit are so intelligent that they actually give me what I now refer to as a code word in the conversation and it means nothing to do with what we're talking about, makes no sense to me, but it means something significant for their human and they then know beyond a doubt I'm definitely talking with their animal. So they're kind of doing the social proofing of my communication, because there's no rational explanation for how these weird words and phrases get in my head apart from them telling me. So overcoming the scepticism is part of it. A lot of the work that I've had to do in the last few years, since I gave up my full-time job, has been to educate people about what I do and how it can make a difference for them.

Speaker 2:

Lots of information about you know? Is your animal misbehaving? What's going on for them, you know? Have you moved? Is there someone different in the house? Is there a different product that you're using in the house that might be upsetting them? There's lots of different things that people may not have thought about. Or does their animal have separation anxiety and what can they do to help support their animal? A lot of rescue animals I've spoken with have separation anxiety or fear of what's happened to them before repeating again.

Speaker 2:

So it's explaining to people that their animal is a soul. They're not just a pet and they feel emotions just like we do, and they're looking for love and they're looking for security. They love hearing us talking because they do understand what we're saying. They love hearing us telling them that we love them and we're grateful that they're with us. They know that. But hearing us saying it, it's very high frequency words love and gratitude and they really respond to the frequency of words.

Speaker 2:

It's explaining things like this to people, even basic things like the name that they call an animal.

Speaker 2:

If you call an animal a name that might be perceived as negative or derogatory, that can upset them on a psychological level, because they're hearing the frequency of that word all the time when you say their name.

Speaker 2:

So even just being conscious about what you call them, what you call them as a nickname and what you say to them during the day, things like you know, if you're going out the door, let your animal know where you're going, what you're doing, when you'll be back, and that can just really alleviate their stress, because if you walk out the door and they've been abandoned before, they worry that you're not going to come back again and that can really help them. A lot of it has been explaining all these different ways that how animal communication can help people to understand the animal on a deeper level and to gain that peace if their animal has passed over. Getting their unanswered questions answered, because that just really affects people. The grief can last for years. There's no sort of time limit on grief and getting those answers just really helps people to move through the grief journey.

Speaker 1:

One time I had four Rottweilers at one time and the littlest one was the runt they called her, and she was the sweetest. They had carried her in my pocket when she was little and then she grew up to be a big dog. When she died it was really tough because she was my buddy and I remember someone told me you know, it is your job on this earth Take care of them and love them as much as you possibly can. And then it made me feel a lot better because I knew that I loved her dearly. So my love with animals is so great and with Hulk and we had another one, her name was Izzy we love them so much that I know that I'm doing everything I possibly can to give them an amazing life, and that feels great to me. You know, I wish I could help all the animals in the world, but I know that I can't. That's not even reasonable. But I can help Hulk and make him have the best life I can give him on earth, and he is so happy about it.

Speaker 1:

And I remember when we first got him I had a cat that I've had for 17 years. Her name was Ziggy and she was an Abyssinian and she again was in love with me, like put her paws, staring me in the eyes, like love me so much so when she died a couple of months after we got Hulk and I always said that her heart went into him because he loved me the same way as Ziggy did. So you know and I think they do feel that idea that I didn't have kids of my own, you know. So they're really like I can't. He can't get any closer to me at nighttime, like he literally could be up my butt. You know, like he is stuck to me at nighttime, he does not leave my side and my husband loves him and he treats him like his own child and it's really cool to see that.

Speaker 1:

But I appreciate what you're doing and I think that the kindness that you give off is beautiful and if anybody can just listen to that in the way you love and are passionate about what you do, people are going to look at you and say I don't believe you. That can't be true, there's no way. But they do that with a lot of things, right, a lot of people, a lot of things, and then social media makes it worse or it makes it better. But keep doing you, annie, because it's very special what you're doing and you're helping people feel better inside, and that's your gift. We're lucky that we are able to meet you. So let's talk about mentors. Do you have mentors?

Speaker 2:

That's another part of the business entrepreneurial journey. Yes, I have taken on lots of different mentors for different aspects of the business. I have run businesses before, but not as an animal communicator, so it's a whole different world now and doing things online. When I wrote my books, I did a book launch and had to learn all about Facebook and doing a Facebook Live. I launched my book and I was the only one who saw it. Something went wrong with the tech and I had to do it again. I've had to learn how to use YouTube. I've had to learn how to put a thumbnail on the YouTube when you load it. Fortunately, there's YouTube videos.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, some of it's been self-directed learning to find out what I don't know, because that's a scary thing when you start in business, you don't know what you don't know, and so you do have to find mentors and people who are willing to help you, that are genuine, and that's really hard as well.

Speaker 2:

So I've worked with a number of different mentors on different aspects of my business, from marketing to media, to the spiritual side of the business as well, so the energetics of the business, working with clients, and it's kind of a spiritual awareness for the clients as well, because understanding their animal on a deeper level, their animal is actually helping to evolve their hearts, which is part of our spiritual purpose, so I need to weave that side of understanding why our animals are here as well. So, yes, I've worked with a variety of people to help me get to where I am now, so I've published three books, so that's been a huge journey in itself. And I do have a YouTube channel, which has been another journey, and I've started a podcast and I offer free masterclasses for animal parents every month, just so they can find out more about their animals. So I do lots of different things and I have needed to reach out to people with different expertise to master all those different facets of business.

Speaker 1:

We can't figure this out on our own. There's a lot to running a business and I've been self-employed pretty much most of my adult life and there's so many pieces and parts all the time. So, starting fresh, I would think that, knowing what I know today, if I started over again, I would have a better chance of doing it, because I know so much more than I once did. But let's talk about tough time. How did your mindset help you push through that? Because I think that that's what it comes down to. A lot of people go through so many tough times, especially with their animals right, and they have to. They have to push through, you have to get back up and you have to keep going. You don't, you can't stay in that space forever. What you're doing helps them, but what about you, annie? How do you push through?

Speaker 2:

Because I've experienced having to say goodbye to so many animals, I really understand what people are going through. So with my two original animal communication teachers, my female was the one that passed away and reincarnated. But that was just such a huge shock to have her suddenly pass away one morning with no warning. She was alive one minute and then she was gone, so that was just devastating. And then my boy I'd always felt a really powerful connection with and I've discovered that we've had past lives going back thousands of years that he shared with me and it's similar to what you've described with your cat, feeling as though the heart has moved into the dog. And that's what I've discovered in conversations as well that our animal souls can keep coming back to us through multiple lifetimes and that can give us so much support and help with that grief process because we know we haven't lost them. They've come back. I've got a number of clients where the same aspect of the animal soul has been in three successive animals in this lifetime and one where they're about to come back for the fourth time. So when you were talking about your cat and your dog, I was going buzzy. So I get that there is a soul connection between them. So I think it's through grief, it's having that experience to know what other people are going through and what's helped you. And it doesn't get any easier every time you have to say goodbye to an animal Like. They are such a huge part of your life, they affect your soul, they're in your heart and they're always in your heart.

Speaker 2:

When I lost my boy because we'd had that incredibly long lifetime, or multiple lifetimes, together, that was just really hard and I'd always felt that I wasn't going to be able to let him go with euthanasia.

Speaker 2:

When it was time for him to go, I really wanted him to be able to pass on his own, but unfortunately he wasn't able to do that. So I had to learn how to understand that helping an animal pass over when it's their time is actually a great act of love. So he wasn't able to go and I'd said to him that I was happy to look after him as long as he wanted to be here. I didn't want him staying for just my sake, but I wanted him to let me know when he was ready to go, and he let me know. So at least I had a night to say goodbye to him and work with my special crystals and oils with him, which he really loved, and say goodbye.

Speaker 2:

That was really tough and then, following on from that, just dealing with the grief and having waves of grief just suddenly coming up and engulfing you when you're not expecting it. It is really hard. He did tell me that he was going to come back, but it took him a while to come back. So again now I know what it feels like someone's very wiggly there.

Speaker 1:

he's not normally, he's just with his dad's out there and he's like I want to get to my dad, but this is him who is really truly one of the loves of my life.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, he's gorgeous.

Speaker 1:

That's really cool. I love that you're doing this. So how can our listeners, how can they get a hold of you? How can they find you? Let's share all of that.

Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you. The easiest way is to email me and my email is chintuitive at bigpondcom. Or they can send me a message through my website, which is wwwcosmicheartintuitivecomau. They can join my private Facebook group if they're on Facebook. My group is called Consciously Understanding your Animals, so they're welcome to join that and then they'll get the information about the free masterclasses that I do For listeners in Australia. My three books are available directly from me, so people can email me to find out about purchasing them. Or, if you're outside Australia, they're available on Amazon.

Speaker 2:

I do offer conversations with animals from one question up to a seven question package. I also do a clairsentient session, which is not animal communication. But if someone asks me a whole lot of says to me a whole lot of statements which have a yes no answer. I get a reaction in my body, like I did when you were talking about your cat and your dog, and that's for me. I know my soul knows it's the truth and then I can answer that's a yes or a no with the question. So I can help people like that as well.

Speaker 2:

Plus, I have my telepathic animal communication mentorship program where I work with animal parents individually one-on-one for three months and we go through a number of different exercises with two of their animals or two of mine, if they don't have two domestic animals at the moment and practice all the different ways that animals share information so it's not just verbal messages in your head. They can send pictures, they can send videos, they can send emotions and feelings, and so we practice all those different forms of communication so that you can then talk to your animals, living or in spirit, and have really profound conversations with them and find out what they want to tell you, what their guidance for you is. My podcast is called what Animals Tell Me and my YouTube is Annie Burke Animal Communicator, and my Instagram is Annie Burke Animal Communicator. So lots of different ways to find me, but Burke is B-O-U-R-K-E.

Speaker 1:

Great. Thank you so much, and so thank you for sharing your extraordinary insights and experience with us today. It's been a true honor to have you on Shine On Success. If you our listeners could like, subscribe and share this episode, you know, if we can help one person, this podcast is a success. So thank you, annie.
